Flowers are, probably, one of the most controversial subject matters in photography, especially for beginning photographers. Everybody photographs flowers (or so it seems); they are so popular and so overshot that the majority of stock agencies refuse to accept any more "flower pictures", unless they are truly outstanding.
Flower project is not about originality or creating outstanding photographs (although they still matter). This project is an exploration of the side of my personality that was hidden from me for a long time. I've never seen myself as a "flower photographer", but recent review of my picture archives shows that I do not know myself well enough: about 1/6 of all my photographs are flowers.
This is an on-going project which, I hope, will help me to achieve a better understanding of myself.
